What’s It Like to Retire?
Actually, I don’t know because on Friday, May 1st I will be retiring for the 3rd time. I am very excited about this although it is bittersweet excitement after 10 years of employment with CMC. I was hired by Senior Temps in November, 2004 to work at the Blue Ash facility as the “lunch” relief for Buildings 10921, 79 and 99. As it seems I was destined to work here because I started many different assignments with CMC at their different facilities. I worked for a short period of time as the Leasing Manager at Mason and as the Administration Assistant at Blue Ash. My final assignment started in January 2007 when I was officially hired by CMC as the Administration Assistant at the Springdale facility. This location became the love affair between me and the tenants. Don’t take me wrong, I also love working with my Manager (Pete Montgomery) and maintenance man (Jim Balitisis). The tenants have become my extended family. Back in 2012 while I was on vacation in Israel I broke my leg. There was such a great outpouring of love from get-well cards, gifts and visits while I was in rehab and after I returned the welcome back greetings were what helped me heal faster. While working at Springdale I have had the opportunity to see companies grow and expand. One of which is Tailored Training Services. Tailored started out as a single suite and now has 14 ½ suites. By the way, that’s what we’re all about. I have enjoyed my years with CMC but it comes to a time when you must say goodbye and pass the baton. I wish CMC much success in the future and may you continually grow, grow, and grow.
