Your special day goes by in the blink of an eye. With a wedding video, you can relive it as much as you want!

Joey, the owner of Super Planet Media, is passionate about storytelling, especially a love story, which he does through video! Though he isn’t just a videographer, he also edits all of his own footage, seeing the piece from start to finish.

Joey became a wedding videographer, kind of by accident! He has always been interested in videography and studied Electronic Media Communications at University of Cincinnati, Blue Ash. While studying, a friend that was getting married was looking for a videographer at the last minute to capture their big day. He reached out and said “I’ve never filmed a wedding, but I would like to try.” And the rest is history! Joey has now filmed 10 weddings with more on the books and is loving every second of it.

When asked about his favorite moments while filming weddings, many came to mind. “My favorite moment at a wedding was recently when a bride was getting photos with her daughter. The photographer was telling the daughter to kiss mommy’s nose and hold it. Confused the little girl held onto her mother’s nose and looked around smiling and a little bit confused. It was the sweetest thing we had ever seen.” He then goes on to say that the wedding industry is so fun because each wedding day is so different. There was even an occasion where the groomsmen were four wheeling before getting ready!

Like many small businesses, Super Planet Media lives by the quote “The 9-5 pays the bills and the 6-5 builds the empire.” Wedding videography is currently a side business that is operated on weekends and after working a full time job Monday – Friday. The goal for the future is to one day be a full time videographer.

Covid-19 has definitely affected the wedding industry, causing cancellations and postponements. But hopes are high for the future of Super Planet Media!
